I wouldn't eat anything out of it the first few times because of the smell but, eventually it went away and I love it now

I love my air fryer and use it multiple times a day - it did have a strange smell the first time even though o washed the pot , but it was gone by the second or third time I used it

I think because it's new,after the first use the smell dissappears

At first everything smelled and even tasted like burned plastic. Washed everyday even if it wasn't used. No luck. I finally started storing it without the basket in it. That really helped. If it's not used for awhile I start again leaving the basket out for a few days.

I put them on the screen porch and ring them on high (400) for an hour twice, with a break between, to burn off the plastic stench

Bowl of either lemon water or vinegar water, turn on reheat. When timer is done, carefully remove the bowl and wipe out interior with a clean damp cloth. I washed my entire unit when it first arrived. No smell.

I use mine out back and didn't notice much smell

Be careful, the vents in the back blow out hot air and actually can turn your wall and tile yellow. I turn my machine away from the wall to avoid this.

I seasoned by running it first to cook off any possible coating from the manufacture.
